Identity Dance Company (IDCO) is an Auckland based Dance Company who are world-renowned for their very unique flavour. ID Co was established in 2008 by a bunch of boys passionate about dance in Western Springs College and Mt Albert Grammar School. After finding success in many competitions both nationally and internationally Joshua Cesan decided to expand the brand which saw the birth of Identity Dance Company in 2014. He has built the company into what it is today with the help of many friends and family members. The company members range from 10 - 30 years +. Our current crews are ID Co, I-Descendant, Yung ID, Masque, Swagganauts, i2D and JNR ID.
The hard work has been especially evident through the successes at The World Hiphop championships (HHI) where they have won multiple medals such as 3 Gold, 7 Silver and 4 Bronze and are still the current Varsity National Champions. Other successes include being the first winners of ’The Stage Haka Fusion and had many dancers featured in NZ's first Hip Hop movie born to dance.
ID Co have also danced and choreographed for various international shows and companies such as Laservision mega media Dubai, various KPOP groups, Blunt Umbrellas, TV shows and advertisements for XFactor, Sony and Steinlager Tokyo dry.
THE IDCO CREW TRAINING PROGRAM
> Providing development, training and performance opportunities locally, nationally and internationally for a wide range of ages with the intention of taking dancers to the next level in a safe family orientated environment.
Identity Dance company offer crew placements in Junior, Varsity & adult age levels with the opportunity to audition at the beginning of each new year!
Crew Year opportunities may include: Video shoots, Dance Intensives, In-house battles, Crew bonding and company events, local, national and once provided the opportunity international travel for competitions, gigs or showcases.
OPEN CLASSES
In addition to the crew training program ID Co offer open to the public beginner, Intermediate & Advanced local classes known as #CLASSESWITHID.
